Istanbul Itinerary Day 1

In the morning after meeting your guide, visit Blue Mosque. The mosque interior has more than 20,000 handmade Iznik ceramic tiles. Afterwards, walk across to Hagia Sophia which is one of the most remarkable structure. Also one of the world’s most amazing masterpieces. And then walk to Hippodrome that was the place for the Chariot races throughout the Byzantine time. Moreover, you can see the great mosaic relics of the Byzantine’s Great Palace inside the Mosaic Museum. Afterwards, visit the Serefiye Cistern, one of the historical cisterns of Istanbul. After lunch, see one of the oldest and largest covered markets of the world. It is the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Just off the Grand Bazaar, walk to Beyazit Old Book Bazaar to see old hand written books, maps and miniatures. Finally at Spice Market, you will see great selection of herbs, spices, oils, souvenirs and more.

 

Istanbul Itinerary Day 2 

After leaving your hotel, your first stop is Basilica Cistern. This hidden underground structure was built by Emperor Justinian and constructed in 532 AD.

Another important visit is Topkapı Palace and Harem Apartments, one of the oldest and biggest palaces of the world to bear to this time. Inside the beautiful courtyard of the palace, Hagia Irene is a must see.  After lunch, you will tour to the Magnificent Suleyman Mosque and drive to the City Walls of Istanbul in Edirnekapı area. 

Also you will be taken to the Chora Museum to explore the most alluring mosaics and frescos from the medieval age. Famous writer John Freely, referred in one of his book as “far and away the most important and extensive series of Byzantine paintings in the city and among the most interesting in the world.”

 

Istanbul Itinerary Day 3

Walking around the down town area of Istanbul. Taksim Square, Istiklal Avenue, Cihangir, Cukurcuma and Galata known as Beyoglu district, center of the Entertainment and shopping. And you will see one of the energetic streets of Istanbul. Not to mention, thousands of people walk through it like a routine every day. Both sides of the streets are lined up with many shops, restaurants, art galleries, entertainment venues, cinemas, embassies, theatres, concert and live music performance halls make it a cultural focus of the city. Also, you can observe many cafes with street tables, as well as street performersAfter lunch, enjoy a Bosphorus cruise in the afternoon.
